Left Handed Sketches #172 & #173

An Osprey, there are a few not too far from here but haven't tried to go see them since its probably a lucky day if you happen to see one.

Another Hornbill, no idea what kind tho. I can tell if a bird is a Hornbill, but there are so many of them, I wouldn't be able to make a positive ID, I'm not a twitcher.

Falcon #5

Started on the feathers, wanted to get more done but my hand started to go numb. And its very hard to hold a sharp point thing without stabbing yourself in the hand, so had to stop. Hopefully I get more done tomorrow.

Touch of Red

(left handed sketch #170)

A Rose-breasted grosbeak with a very red spot on his chest so  had to get the coloured pens out for it.

(left handed sketch #171)

This is an odd looking duck, a Spectacled eider. Neat looking but still odd looking. Looks like he has a mask on his nose.

Scribble Picnic-Flower bed

This weeks theme for Scribble Picnic is Flower bed. I couldn't think of anything other then a flower pot so not really a flower bed lol, so a bit of a cheat.

I used Painter for this with one of the oil brushes with my tablet. I just wanted a very quick loose piece, with pretty much no detail to it. And I wanted to start using my tablet again so just wanted to get use to how the pen reacts and works with the workstation.

You can see the texture created with the digital program.

Sunday Scribbles

(left handed sketch #167)

A northern spotted owl turning its head around backwards. Its actually very interesting to know how they rotate their heads so much.

 (left handed sketch #168)

This is a golden-breasted starling. Very pretty and colourful bird.

 (left handed sketch #169)

And a plain white duck :) Most people have seen a duck of some kind.

There use to be a Sunday Sketches group over on Alexandra's blog where people could post links to their Sunday posts. I have had a few people say to me they miss it so after asking Alexandra if I could try to start another group linky, so I did.

Post your Sunday art here so we can all see what you have created :) (hopefully the linky thing works *crosses fingers*)
