Weekly Book Wrap Up
So busy this week with art but did manage to get 2 books read. And looks like another week of rain next week, so no sitting out in the sun and reading.
The Art of Thor by Matthew K. Manning
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Really interesting to see all the concept art and how it changed during the course of being created. Not enough text I thought and some of the art did seem a little pixelated and not suited for printing, hence not 5 stars.
Saga, Volume 5 by Brian K. Vaughan
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
Love the art, story seems to be dragging a bit, get to the point all ready. The main characters who we are supposed to care for I find boring at this stage (didn't in the other volumes, maybe they work better when they are all together), its the side characters that need their own comic at right now.

I enjoy your reviews. I think I'd like to take a look at the Thor book at some point...
ReplyDeleteIts a really nice book, nice to see the designs before they end up on screen, def worth trying to get a look at :)
