More Dragon

A bit more work done on the dragon. He has basic teeth now that I still have to work on.
The teeth under his jaw need a bit of work and I need to define his mouth more but the under side is almost done.

Added some detail to his face, a few bumps and spikes. I am thinking of actually giving him a body rather than just a floating head, and some wings since I really like creating wings with ZBrush :)

Sunday Sketches

A tiny tiny hummingbird for left handed sketch #154. a puffin for #155 and a hornbill for #156. I tried to draw a swimming puffin, didn't work that well lol. Try again later since I love puffins and want to try to go see them in the wild since there is a few places not that far away I could. Just have to watch the cliffs and probably tie a rope to John so I don't fall lol.

Weekly Book Wrap Up

Still reading the Big Bloody Book, aka War and Peace, it will be the death of me. I like it, but its really long lol and I'm thinking of reading Les Misérables next and its longer, (655,478 words) Trying to get through a bunch of graphic design books too plus a lot of things for 3D work. I need to read faster, or stop looking at South Korea videos on youtube lol

 The Mad Ship
(Liveship Traders, #2)The Mad Ship by Robin Hobb
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Once again, too many characters to really start to care about any of them. We do get to learn more about the Rain Wilds, not a lot but enough to keep my interest up when the story focuses on the events happening there. The dragon surprise(was it supposed to be a surprise?) was too predictable, thought that was what was going to happen since the first book. And I found Malta going from a spoiled brat to a responsible person because she gets (view spoiler) a pretty weak character development point. Yes, people do change from traumatic events, but even as the character is trying to act more mature she still comes off as a brat. hmm maybe I just don't like the character lol
I've read the series this far, might as well finish it lol

Website Update

I started this a long time ago but really need to get it finished. There are 3 looped body parts to do on different layers for the idea I have for my website. It will either work or crash and burn lol

The basic black outline is easy, its the colouring that is tedious, another reason this is taking forever. The plan this weekend is to try to get it finished so I can put the site together. At least Muse, even tho it can be temperamental sometimes, it is easy to use.

Low Poly Giraffe

Another low poly piece. I had the idea of doing a few digital low poly pieces of a few different patterned animals so this is the first one. A giraffe is first in the series, a zebra next I think unless I think of a different animal to use first, a peacock could look neat.

A close up showing an area near the eye. Not much detail in this eye since it looks mostly black unless you are right in the giraffe's face.

Left Handed Sketches #149 & #150

A parakeet for #149 and a Village weaver for #150.

I haven't seen any weaver birds other than on tv, but its neat to see them build their hanging nests.
