Eagle Owl #1

This is going to look so odd until I get more of the bird done. And yes its another bird etching but I also started a wolf etching to work on at the same time to prove I can etch something other than birds lol. I am doing uni work at the same time but this stuff is for when I need a break. There is only so much reading you can do about branding and indigenous populations before you need a break.

And someone who will remain nameless jumped on the bed when no one was paying attention, when she shouldn't have and then tried to blend into the quilt so we wouldn't notice. At least her fur is growing back, starting to look less like a chicken leg.

Finished Falcon

Finally finished the falcon etching. yay :)

Really happy with how this turned out and the dark and light contrast between the upper body and lower body I think works really well.

Now onto the next one, which I will try to make something other than a bird, but no promises.

Falon #16

Definitely almost finished but it will probably be a few days until it is finished since I have the plague. Something is going around according to the nurse so I probably can't blame going back to uni as being the problem but, same thing happened last year. Go back and get sick, this time I can't talk, my throat is very red it seems. This is why I avoid people. I get sick when I am around people lol

Weekly Book Wrap Up

Island of the Sequined Love NunIsland of the Sequined Love Nun by Christopher Moore
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Typical Moore book. Silly, full of odd characters, lots of laughs and a talking bat.

Falcon #15

I really wanted to finish this tonight but its not happening, my back is killing me and working on this for a long time just makes it worse. I did manage to get another section under the wing finished so that is better than nothing. Hoping to finish this weekend as long as I get some more research done for uni.

Feather close up. The whole thing needs more shading once all the markings are done.

I finished my website, well it still needs more stuff in the about section and I need to put more art in the 3D section, but it is pretty much finished. If you can have a look, that would be great and tell me if anything isn't working, thanks :)

Falcon #14

Love etching, it just can take forever lol But this is almost done and hopefully soon so I can start something new. Of  course it will probably be another bird but maybe not this big next time.

I honestly don't know why I am making all these plates, I don't have a printing press yet and probably wont for a long time until it gets built and I have a massive clear out to make space. John wants to see if you can build one that will fold against the wall, which would save some space when not being used.

Falcon #13

Managed to get more work done on the chest of the falcon. Nothing to show from uni since its only day 2 and we are at the research stage of things. You would think that being Canadian and having MS I wouldn't actually learn that much about those 2 things, oddly, I am which is a good thing but isn't making it any easier to decide on which topic to focus a big project on lol and that was the whole point about doing all the research.

Falcon #12

Finished with the wings and now onto working on the body. Lots of feathers, but thankfully most of them are big.
